Refund Policy
The short version
- ProTennis is free to play. The only thing we sell is sponsorship placements in the game’s stadium.
- Sponsorship payments are final and non-refundable, including when someone outbids you. Your total stays on the spot, so you can retake it by paying only the difference.
- We do refund in full when something goes wrong on our side: duplicate or incorrect charges, payments we couldn’t apply, and technical failures we can’t fix.
- Email [email protected] within 30 days of the charge. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method.
This Refund Policy applies to sponsorship payments made to Rytham Sequence LLC for ProTennis at protennis.lol, and forms part of our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms, such as “Total” and “Sponsor Content”, have the meanings given in the Terms.
1. Why sponsorship payments are final
Sponsor spots work like an ongoing auction. Each payment you make is added to your Total on a spot, and that Total never expires. When someone bids higher, your Sponsor Content is replaced, but your Total stays, and you can take the spot back at any time by paying only the difference. Because your payment keeps its value on the spot, and because other bidders set their bids against it, we can’t refund payments once they are applied.
2. When we don’t refund
Except as described in section 3, we don’t refund sponsorship payments when:
- another bidder outbids you, including if their bid was confirmed while you were paying and yours is no longer the top Total;
- you change your mind, no longer want the spot, or bid on the wrong spot or amount (the spot and exact amount are shown before you pay);
- your Sponsor Content is removed because it broke our content rules or the Terms;
- the sponsorship didn’t bring the number of players, views, clicks or sales you hoped for (we don’t guarantee results);
- your Sponsor Content isn’t visible in a particular match, camera angle, device or browser, or the stadium layout is updated as described in the Terms.
3. When we refund
We refund the affected payment in full in these cases:
- Payment couldn’t be applied. If you were charged but we couldn’t apply the payment to your bid (for example, because the spot or your bid was no longer valid), we refund it automatically. You’ll see “Payment refunded” on the sponsorship screen.
- Duplicate charge. You were charged more than once for the same bid.
- Incorrect amount. You were charged an amount different from the one shown to you before you paid.
- Technical failure. Your payment was confirmed and your bid was the top Total, but because of a fault on our side your Sponsor Content never appeared on the spot, and we couldn’t fix it within 7 days of you reporting it.
- Unauthorized payment. Your payment method was used without your permission. Please also contact your card issuer.
- Discontinuation. If we permanently shut down the game or the sponsorship feature, we refund sponsorship payments you made in the 90 days before the shutdown date for spots where your Sponsor Content was live at the time we announced it.
- Required by law. Any other case where applicable law requires a refund.
We may also issue a full or partial refund in other situations at our discretion. A discretionary refund in one case doesn’t oblige us to make one in another.
4. How to request a refund
- Email [email protected] within 30 days of the charge, from the email address you verified when bidding.
- Include the payment reference from your confirmation email, the spot number (#1–#10), the amount and date of the charge, and why you’re asking for a refund.
- We’ll reply within 2 business days and tell you whether the refund is approved. If we need more information, we’ll ask.
The 30-day window doesn’t apply to automatic refunds, to unauthorized payments reported to us promptly after you notice them, or where the law gives you longer.
5. How refunds are paid
- Approved refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method. We can’t refund to a different card or account, or in cash.
- We issue approved refunds within 5 business days. Your bank or card issuer usually takes another 5–10 business days to show the credit.
- Refunds are made in the original currency and amount charged. We aren’t responsible for differences caused by exchange rates or fees charged by your bank.
- A refunded payment is removed from your Total on that spot. If that makes your Total no longer the highest, your Sponsor Content will be replaced by the next-highest bid.
6. Canceling before you pay
You are only charged when you complete payment on the Stripe checkout page. If you close that page, go back, or cancel the checkout from the sponsorship screen, nothing is charged and no bid is placed. An unfinished checkout expires automatically.
7. Chargebacks
If something went wrong, please contact us before disputing the charge with your bank. We can usually resolve it faster, and a dispute can take weeks. If a payment is charged back, the amount is removed from your Total, and we may suspend further sponsorship purchases while the dispute is open.
8. Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under consumer-protection laws that apply to you and can’t be waived by contract. Where those laws give you a right to cancel, you agree, by asking us to place your bid and display your Sponsor Content as soon as your payment is confirmed, that the service begins immediately and that you lose the right to cancel once your Sponsor Content has been applied to the spot, to the extent the law allows.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Changes apply only to payments made after the “Last updated” date above; the version in effect when you paid governs that payment.
